HONEYMOON BEACH, WATER ISLAND, USVI

The newest declared U.S. Virgin Island, Water Island is an amazing lunch or midday cocktail stop right on the beach. Just off the south side of St. Thomas, the island known as Small City can add a bit of history and variety to your day. If you are looking to explore, you can rent a golf cart right from the beach and tour the 400+ acres that make up the island. Check out the old plantation ruins, Fort Segarra, and old underground fort partially constructed by the U.S. for World War II. If seeking more relaxtion, post up at Dinghy’s Beach Bar and Grille to catch up on some ESPN while trying the local lionfish tacos. If not your style, head down to the east side of the beach, where you can find Heidi’s Grille. Be lazy in a hammock, or try the famous steak sandwich. Either way, Water Island is a flawless addition to your perfect day.
